§ 15.1-8. Variances.

Within thirty (30) days after denial of a sign permit by the sign administrator, a request for variance may be filed with the city council. The city council may grant a variance and relax the terms of this chapter where such variance will not be contrary to the public interest and where, because of conditions peculiar to the property and not as the result of the actions of the applicant, a literal enforcement of this chapter would result in unnecessary and undue hardship.
